Jan touched many lives in the interior design community. A champion to both educators and students, she saw the best in people and enjoyed mentoring those who crossed her path. Some of the highlights of her career and selfless dedication included her receiving the Council of Interior Design Qualification Tregre Award. Jan was accepted into the college of Fellows of the American Society of Interior Designers, the Society's highest honor. Jan also served as President of NCIDQ (National Council of Interior Design Qualification) and was the Design Institute BFA Program Director from 2000 to 2007. She was also a tireless volunteer for CIDA (Council for Interior Design Qualification). She served on the site visit team to review accreditation qualifications for over 10 years.
